Think about the following question: If your mood were the weather, what would it be?
Take a minute to think about how your day has been.
- Was it good?
- Did something exciting happen?
- Was there something that didn’t go as planned?
After you think about your day, choose a type of weather to describe it.
Let's think about what actions you can take to improve how you and your peers feel while at the Club.
First, make a list of the emotions that you’d like to feel while you’re at the Club. Some examples of these words could include: welcome, happy, loved, supported, etc.
Then, make a list of how you think your friends at the Club would like to feel.
If you are not sure, ask your friends how they’d like to feel while they’re at the Club. Walk around the Club and interview two or three youth to find out their top three feelings about being at the Club.
Write down your top feelings and those of your friends on a sheet of paper.
Now that you’ve identified how you and your friends want to feel at the Club, it’s time to take some photos. Get ready to take pictures of things around your Club that make you feel good.
You’ll act like a photojournalist. A photojournalist is someone who documents real-time images of things and people to show what a place or event is like.

Next, take out your cell phone or digital camera. Walk around the Club. Notice things that cause some of the positive feelings on your list. Take a picture of each of those things. Examples might be a Club sign that makes you feel welcome, the smiling face of a staff member, and a game or Club activity that you love.
Make sure that you capture at least five photographs.
Take a look back at your pictures.
What’s missing? Are there things you’d like to feel at your Club, but don’t yet?
You’re going to take a second round of photos. Only this time, you’ll be taking pictures of yourself doing something to create positive emotions for others.
Here are a few examples:
- A photo of you greeting new members at the door
- A photo of you talking to someone who is sitting alone
- A photo of you helping a staff member or peer
Walk around the Club. Take pictures of the ways you can create positive experiences for others every day.
Make sure that you capture at least five photographs.
Choose your favorite three photographs from Step 4. These images represent your vision for how to create a positive Club environment.
Write a short description for each of the three pictures. Explain why the actions shown can help all Club youth to have a positive experience.
Decorate your pictures and descriptions however you’d like. Your finished project will be your Club Vision.
Make sure to look at your Club Vision every few weeks. Think about whether you’re still doing the things that will make the Club environment feel positive for others.
Remember that doing these positive acts around the Club will make both you and your peers feel better.
Upload three pictures with descriptions of your Club Vision to earn a star toward the All the Feels badge.
